We’ve joined 100+ others in calling for the government to fully scrap the two-child limit. Every child deserves the best start in life. By fully scrapping the two-child limit the government can deliver a decisive shift in children’s opportunities, and in the UK's potential.

The two-child limit is the biggest driver of rising child poverty & scrapping it in full is the right thing to do. All children are equally deserving of a good childhood and abolishing this cruel policy would give millions more kids a better start in life. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Kat is fab. An evident boundless passion for inclusion and supporting neurodivergent CYP. Please let her know of any opportunities.
I was just wondering if my network could help me and if anyone knows of a #researchassistant role currently or #comingup for any #educationalresearch and #psychologicalresearch studies. If you know anywhere else I can find these kind of jobs. #opentowork

Slowly but surely starting emerging from the dissertation hole. Was going to use some sort of hungry caterpillar-esque metaphor here, but tbh my mind is too tired. Final read throughs, reference checking, appendices and formatting to finalise and it’s done.

Since the DfE's new writing framework seriously downplays the importance of emergent writing, I'm giving away a free copy of my book on mark making because it 100% *does* matter! ☺️

We’re constantly adultifying children and removing childhood and children from society.

What is the evidence base behind Bastille and Jo Wicks?!

Can anyone from the #QualitativeResearch world help with a quick query?

Any guidance on reporting ‘how’ participants said something? Talking specifically as gallows / dark humour as a coping mechanism. And any links to relevant research concerning this in #TeacherWellbeing?

Reflexive Thematic Analysis, what a beast. What a beaut. Am outlining findings / discussion and am just feeling all of the feels. Cannot believe an idea that came to me on my commute has grown into this. It’s amazing.

Sorely needed article today. While cycling back from swimming (me on a cargo bike with a 3yo on the back and our 6yo cycling beside me) a man stuck in traffic in a 4x4 felt the need to lean out of his window and shout, “That is so wrong. So wrong!” at us. Ironic?

Shut up about poverty? No we won’t.
I’m used to reading some breathtaking takes in education interviews, but this one still made me stop and inhale.

An absolute joy to discuss this research at the Universally Manchester Community Festival last weekend. The MEd has provided powerful opportunities to connect with others 😊 and discuss everything psychology in education.

I remember learning about thematic analysis in the old place before I started my psychology journey, thinking it was magic. It brings together my languages background and desire to investigate the experiences of other people / groups. And now, I’m using RTA in my own work. Appreciating progress.

Fascinating critical insight into the world of adolescent mental health, social media and research methodology last night with @jadedavies.bsky.social. Voice of CYP in SM/MH research and policy must be taken seriously, especially when SM is a sphere of supportive interactions for many.

Concerning, yet unsurprising findings from the @edsupportuk.bsky.social Teacher Wellbeing Index today.

Interesting to see the inclusion of findings around behaviour and support from other systems.

Poignant that its release date coincides with #InternationalChildrensDay.
Today is the day!

Our Teacher Wellbeing Index is back with fresh data and insights that reveal the true state of teacher wellbeing.
