I know most folks don't always have time to attend the PTG or read all the documentation that comes out of that planning; so for OpenStack Ironic I made a video summarizing the event; starting with the Ironic retrospective and ending with a look into znext cycle.

OpenStack Epoxy is out; this is the 23rd OpenStack release that I've contributed to; many in small ways but others in bigger ways.

GR-OSS also broke our record for total independent contributors at 5; our contributions were over 18% of the total commits in Ironic projects this cycle.

A reminder for this Transgender Day of Visibility:

Trans people have always existed, and we always will.

No president, politician, or court can change that.

GR-OSS OUT podcast just landed about the OpenDev Collaboratory this week. It's really an interesting dig into a segment that's often ignored: the infrastructure that enables OSS development. Thanks Clark and Jeremy for participating!

Like, listen, do you think I am *not* a wobbly ball of horror whenever I let myself think about anything but the immediate task in front of me? But that feeling accomplishes nothing by itself, so I post about birds and the dog and coveting weird little cactus.

Have hit the stage of trying to negotiate with the wailing cat. “Sweetie, I know. You think if you yell loud enough, the world will change. I’ve been trying that for forty-seven years and it hasn’t worked for me either.”

I <3 this: if good people can find each other across a gulf of data and pixels, I have to think we will overcome.
Ok, possibly more than a little drunk. The boss decided we should experience GOOD Spanish wine, and then there was Limoncello, and anyway, I love you all and I swear to god, if good people can find each other across a gulf of data and pixels, I have to think we will overcome.

Maybe there's so many people with imposter syndrome because it's easier to assume people know what's going on than to accept the truth that most other humans are just trying to figure it out just like you are and somehow society exists anyway.

Reporting that being prepared for a meeting with someone as important as the Vice President is stressful because Harris is competent is a problem that really sums up the wholly deserved imposter syndrome fears of Big Journalism.

A good guy and his brother were killed last night -- the night before his sister's wedding. It's always doubly painful to hear news like this about someone so young and so talented. RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. The NHL will not be the same without you.

I’m an actual pacifist. I want all guns banned. I just need the left to do less “violence is bad even when it happens to Trump” and more “this is the world Trump wants the rest of us to live in.”
