New Mexico House Democrats condemn political violence in all of its forms. We are grateful that no one was hurt in this senseless act. We appreciate law enforcement’s swift response and expect that those responsible will be held accountable.

No one should have to make 10 calls to find an appointment when they need behavioral health care, and that’s the reality that we are trying to change. Senate Bill 1 provides a sustainable, long-term funding source so we can meet New Mexicans’ needs today, and for many years to come.

I joined @fernandez.house.gov and @senatorheinrich.bsky.social to demand answers from Postmaster General DeJoy about the Chimayó Post Office. After two years, it’s unacceptable that no action has been taken to rebuild. The Chimayó Post Office must be rebuilt now.

By guaranteeing and funding the right to early childhood education, New Mexico eliminated one of the biggest expenses for many families. A family with a 4-year-old & an infant in full-time care can now save around $23,000 on childcare per year.

Hosted dinner for our amazing cleaning crew this week. These are the people who keep the roundhouse moving. My mom & dad clean offices for a living too, so this one is personal for me.

To me, these folks are not invisible. These folks are the reason I do the work that I do.
