Today's teenagers use chatbots as therapists, and that's PATHETIC. They should do something healthier, like developing their own role-playing tabletop game, amassing an encyclopedic knowledge about Star Wars lore or immerse themselves into the occult, like the rest of us did.

A screenshot from Reddit r/technology: SonofRodney I recently heard about a teacher who instead of trying to circumvent students using ai, which is impossible, she made assignments by going "ask ChatGPT to write a report on this subject, and then research how and why it's wrong". Not only did the students discover that chatGPT is extremely wrong a lot of the time, it also lead them to realize that they should not use it as a primary source.

So Google AI is no longer telling us Mary Shelley and Jane Austen were sisters. That doesn't mean it's now 'right' or 'better'. It's just different, and there's no way to know why. New stolen material uploaded? Manual intervention? A source that cannot be verified or remain consistent is useless.

The fucking head of fucking XBox Graphics used a fucking "AI" slop image to hire new engineers but couldn't tell that the fucking screen on the fucking monitor is facing backwards.
Linked In post from Mike Matsel, Principle Development Lead, XBox Graphics: "The XBox Graphics team is hiring folks with experience with device drivers, GPU performance, or related validation or engineering system experience.
