I would love if, in addition to limiting material wealth at the upper margins, Democrats could point out that the desire to accumulate more wealth than one can possibly spend is not success, but antisocial behavior.
It is *lunacy* for the ostensibly liberal opposition party to say we shouldn't limit any individual's wealth and power after watching a cadre of fascist billionaires systematically destroy this country. That's probably the single most important thing we *must* do!

@paulandstorm.bsky.social Time for "Nun Fight" the sequel? I mean, no fighting is involved but sneaky elderly nuns and there is a mention of one having boxing gloves... 🤔🎙️🎤🎶

Don’t trust the experts”? That’s not democracy, that’s recklessness.

On a plane, I want a pilot.
In a hospital, I want doctors and scientists who understand the evidence.

Expertise isn’t religion or authoritarianism — it’s training, accountability, and data.

Ignore it and we all pay the price.
RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.

many if not most americans are “politically homeless,” in that they have to compromise on something for their political party. the only people who whine about it are those that actually for any period had one or both parties catering to their every whim and are upset that’s no longer true

The only reason Republicans have a reputation as "fiscal hawks" is that the press refuses to tell the public basic facts about what they do when they are in office.

I could be wrong about this but I really think most Americans do not want to be forced to “do their own research” about food & drug & product safety and would rather that the government agencies that have been sorting that all out for them for decades not be obliterated in the name of “efficiency.”

Jeffrey Goldberg thinking he was being pranked and then realizing he was actually just in the war plans group chat is such a good microcosm of how it feels to be alive right now, everything seems fake until you realize it’s actually real and incredibly stupid

Hey folks so we're not doing "if you personally have not made a loud public statement about Bad Thing You're Not Accountable For then it's obvious you don't think it's bad," right? Right. Glad we had this talk.
