I am going to assume that the vast majority of people following me on this app likely already know my work but on the off chance that you don’t: I write about the Balkans and international relations, democratization and authoritarianism. I try to stay in my lane beyond that. Cheers!
On Nov 21, on the 30th anniversary of the initialing of the DPA, I was honored to participate at the "Dayton to Brussels" symposium hosted by Clingendael, the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies & the newly launched BiH-NL-denktank. You can view our discussion here. www.youtube.com/live/nvSajQm...

Is EU member #Croatia tilting toward the far right? Bosnian Genocide researcher Georgio Konstandi examines the patterns: a concert featuring fascist-era call-and-response and political meddling in neighboring #Bosnia:

“The Croatian government’s normalization of the neo-Nazi far-right is intrinsically linked to its undermining of democracy in post-war Bosnia, a country facing secession threats by a Bosnian Serb leader”.

“Pressure the weak, accommodate the strong” is a diplomatic principle as old as the craft itself, closely followed by the principle of “we have exhausted all avenues for accommodation with this emboldened maniac, are now forced into a war we neither wanted nor prepared for”.
