As the father of comic book artist @artiss.bsky.social and father-in-law of @gyozart.bsky.social, I can only strongly agree. We literally have university degrees in comic book art in this country thanks to people such as @garethcowlin.bsky.social. Why should no-one take it seriously?
Petition for all the ‘best books of the year’ lists to actually include some comics, and for the ‘best children’s books of the year’ to also INCLUDE SOME COMICS.
(Leave mine out the running if you like, I’m not saying this for me, I’m saying it because the UK needs to stop being sniffy about comics)
