No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.

I just watched the movie Mr. Smith Goes to Washington on TCM. It should be played on a loop to remind Americans what our country is s out: justice and kindness for people, and the defeat of rule by the greedy corrupt anti-democracy power hungry empty soul men.

JD Vance - If you believe any of the multiple federal courts that have ruled against you so far are exceeding their statutory or Constitutional authority, your recourse is to appeal. You don’t get to rage-quit the Republic just because you are losing. That’s tyranny.
