After the tariff deal is before the next necessary adjustment: if the new tariff line on vehicles means a knock down for everyone by 7.5 percentage points then the EV tariffs on China that address the distortion will have to go up… @sandertordoir.bsky.social

Warum glauben so viele in Berlin, Deutschland könne Chinas Industriepolitik nichts entgegensetzen?

Dabei haben wir riesige fiskalische Spielräume und eine starke industrielle Basis.

So we are back to square one on China-US trade relations for 90 days. Would be a massive exaggeration to call this agreement to de-escalate a „deal“, uncertainty remains high, but one thing is clear: China is certainly in a better position now than before the tariff escalation began.
