Hamnet: again, a piece of content where the performances outdid the story many-fold. Love story and grief story felt rushed amid lingering forest witchery lushness. But the performances? Woo, Nelly. Very much in the feels. Paul Mescal doing by-the-book Hamlet (or any Shakespeare, really) would STUN.

The MO here is to flood our screens, even if it’s belligerent non-answers, actually, especially so b/c everyone loves a good confrontation. He’s making TV. We’re waiting it out, soaked in the ugly. What if Democrats somehow made TV too? Flood our screens with the non-ugly parts of being an American?

Like an old timey bbc reporter with no hint of lascivious glee or disgust or awe or judgement in their tone. Genuinely agnostic. detached, just the facts, man. Too much to ask, yep.
I would love to read an account of this saga that isn’t written in an atrociously purple way but seems like that’s too much to ask of anyone involved

Their defense will be these were prostitutes paid for their services. The fact that children cannot, by law, consent needs to stay a law no matter what. Them pushing for lowering the age of consent and the Supremes letting it through will nullify all of it. Obviously. 🙄

Looking to the lawyerly to get through all 20K emails. Admissible in a court of law would be super nice. He and victim spent hours together. Can he argue that they were chatting about marble heating vents? Is that redacted victim alive? Can she be made safe enough to tesrify?
