This is a travesty & a nightmare. The US was a founder of @gavi.org. It lowers global vaccine costs, has vaccinated 1B children, & averted 19M deaths. This pull out will cost 100s of thousands of children's lives a year - and RFK Jr will be personally responsible.

The SNAP trial may finally resolve some of the longest-running debates in SAB management (cefazolin vs semi-synthetic PCN? Is PCN really active vs PSSA?).

Association of daily body temperature, white blood cell count, and C-reactive protein with mortality and persistent bacteremia in patients with Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia
Classification of patients with Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia (SAB) as complicated versus uncomplicated is based on a combination of clinical and microbiologic variables. Whether daily body temperature and common laboratory tests such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and white blood cell (WBC) can improve risk stratification algorithms is unclear.
