The Elections Canada website is a joke tonight!

Just terrible, terrible that it's basically unusable on election night. 👎

Quite a photo! The leader of the free world, meeting with... Donald Trump.

(No oval office cronies here for a pile-on.)
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s staff shared photos of his brief meeting with President Donald Trump as world leaders gathered for Pope Francis’s funeral Saturday in Rome.

The Oval Office meeting today between Trump and Zelensky “reeked of a planned attack,” @radiofreetom.bsky.social writes.

I was on the fence about the booing. But at some point a citizenry is responsible for the choices it has made.

Trump didn't become President by accident. When Americans can't afford everyday essentials and discover everyone hates them, maybe there will be some change.

Maybe.

So, America is now in the "supervillian" stage?

Revoke the polio vaccine until double blind trials can be done? Essentially... let kids get polio. What kind of monster is this?
The lawyer helping Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pick federal health officials for the incoming Trump administration has petitioned the government to revoke its approval of the polio vaccine, which for decades has protected millions of people from a virus that can cause paralysis or death.
Kennedy’s Lawyer Has Asked the F.D.A. to Revoke Approval of the Polio Vaccine
Aaron Siri, who specializes in vaccine lawsuits, has been at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s side reviewing candidates for top jobs at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Whenever reform of Canada Post comes up, the answers proposed never seem to be about opening the monopoly to competition, as other countries have done, and always involve further cuts in service

Trump rejects partnership. He believes only, "I command; you obey." That won't work on anything difficult. Syria will be difficult - and could go very bad. Once again: "America First" = "America Alone" = "American Failure."

END.

It's disheartening that in an age where knowledge has never been more accessible - the United States is about to be governed by an administration so primitive and ignorant as to believe that tariffs are good and that vaccines are bad.

Trump thinks tariffs are a cover charge for a hot bar, when they’re really a price increase for everything on the menu.
Trump posts on Truth Social: “On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders.”

Trump is telling us that he’s going to fire hundreds of thousands, deport tens of millions, kick tens of millions off their healthcare & cut hundreds of millions in social programs and Ma and Pa MAGA STILL believe all of this shit is going to help them in some fucking way.

Narrator: it’s not.

I ended up with a drawer of "novelty socks" that I never wore. Mainly gifts.

I've ended up with belief that novelty socks are gauche. No thanks.
