Cholsey Parish Council, who owns the allotment land, however, have confirmed that the land, only part of the allotment, is not for sale; as poor quality growing land, it is merely being deregistered to manage as a nature reserve to improve biodiversity 4/5

Oxfordshire’s solar boom continues with two more planning applications lodged for solar farms. Willowfields Energy Park, spanning the A415 between Kingston Bagpuize and Marcham, is proposed to have 49.9MW generating capacity and a battery energy storage system (BESS) on site.
