I found this thread to be a very helpful explanation of a very shitty and frustrating set of attacks on both schools and the courts. Worth a quick read
Yesterday, Trump illegally cut off funding for public schools, precipitating a huge crisis for thousands of schools.
This is a result of the recent Supreme Court ruling neutering federal courts.

Today we moved a resolution to condemn President Trump for pardoning 1500 insurrectionists who tried to overthrow our democracy, giving them a green light to attack our nation and law enforcement again.
This is an easy call, but Republicans filibustered debate. We'll be back next week for a vote.

On the drive to work, I was listening to a podcast and a “reasonable” MN republican politico said they think Trump may be the first to do “comprehensive immigration reform” because of his “strong stance on the border” and I found myself screaming “HE’S MAKING. CONCENTRATION. CAMPS.” I’m doing great.
