Hey! We've been working away on #parkingreform campaigns + also testing how best to **talk about parking reforms ** including qualitative + survey message testing! There's more to figure out in this space, but here's our preliminary recommendations + talking points! www.sightline.org/2025/05/28/h...

With Connecticut on the verge of passing zoning and parking reform, the inaction of NJ and NY really stands out. Many other states have reduced parking minimums, why can't we do that in NJ?

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

this is a perfect example of how the media complies in advance by accepting what Trump says as truth even when it isn’t. I’m sure some people are going to be surprised when they get charged with the congestion fee today

This is so incredibly, goofily stupid—a slapstick level of dumbass, self-defeating, wasteful procurement even if it’s somehow not as corrupt as it looks—but I suspect absolutely no one is going to prevent it from happening. What an embarrassment. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/12/u...

But it's not Amtrak's fault that NJ Transit faces regular funding shortfalls, and it's not Amtrak's fault that NJ Transit hasn't extended the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. I think the candidates need to be forced to give clearer answers on how they will make things better. Not just complain!! (8/8)

Transportation question in debate - other candidates spoke in platitudes and basically just said “NJT is bad and we need to fix NJT”… only one candidate gave specifics + has real experience. You as a voter deserve to know exactly what we will do beyond polled sound bites.

Wrote about how this administration is weaponizing transportation in service of nightmare shit that has no business influencing transportation policy, but more specifically, wtf was up with that line about giving more money to states with more babies
Why Trump's DOT is Promising More Money to States With Higher Birth Rates — Streetsblog USA
Supporting American families in the transportation realm doesn't mean giving low-population red states more money for highways — even if a new DOT memo suggests that's exactly what they'll do.

Every year, billions of vehicles worldwide shed an estimated 6 million tonnes of tire fragments. These tiny flakes of plastic, generated by normal driving, account for 28% of microplastics entering the environment globally.

Heavy vehicles eg SUVs/EVs especially.

Democrats need to embrace making it easier & faster to produce the things people need — e.g., housing, clean energy, child care, transit — & move away from government-created scarcity.

An abundance approach lowers cost of living.

Democrats need to lean into being the Party of abundance.
