Taken with a telephoto lens for a high up perspective, the image captures a small vignette of the wider landscape. At the bottom of the square frame is some swirling mist drifting across the landscape. Above, autumnal colours seemingly bursting forth from every part of the image, bathed in early morning light. The main focal point is one tree that stands apart from the others and a barn that sits nearby. A quintessential depiction of the Peaks, once again the Hope Valley did not disappoint.

Somewhere between Nether Tor and Grindslow Knoll in the Edale Valley, I found myself immersed in the bleak beauty of the Peak District. The northern weather made sure I was soaked to the bone, but the landscape was worth every drop. 🌧️
