A comfortable life used to be the American Dream. Not being a financial mogul. Not fighting for the top spot on the food chain. Working to get your share of the pie with the whip cream on top. Grabbing enough food to fill your plate, but leaving plenty on the table for others. Let’s do that again.

No one would be worried about the price of beef if we were controlling the prices of big ticket items like medical premiums and rent. Get rid of the collusion among landlords and break those monopolies.
Stop falling for the trap of latching on to the price of an item (eggs, beef…) as the message. The issue is affordability. From 2001-2023 wages failed to keep up with rising costs. Medical premiums rose 301% Travel expenses were up 170%. Rent grew by 131%. The cost of raising children grew by 107%.

This is the perfect framing. The choice between safety and due process is a false choice. You can have both. And without due process, no one is safe.
I’m totally fine with deporting gang members who commit crimes who don’t have legal status.
I just don’t want Tom Homan or an ICE agent grabbing anyone off the street and flying them to a prison in El Salvador while claiming they are all of those things with zero due process.
