I think Avatar is basically the blockbuster version of NCIS, a juggernaut with an offline core audience disinclined to the usual traits of fandom, also comparable (not morally but as a type) to the "median voter" that baffles every election season

In NYC there are plenty of people who don't celebrate, and people who do, who dont have anywhere to go.
So as is our tradition, Anyone Comics in BK and Everyone Comics at Queensboro Plaza will be there to entertain from 12-5pm and handing out free books for those who feel left out!

Watching eraserhead dude launch his nut at the wall and struggling to decipher any deeper meaning other than this guy really regrets getting his girl pregnant. 😭😭

What’s with the mutant Mao Zedong mashup poster in the background? What did he mean by that? 😭😭

@markfrost.bsky.social do you plan to reprint the Secret History of Twin Peaks? The secondhand prices for that book online are insane! 😭😭

My hot take is that the Creeper should be the next absolute title and they should just make him a crazy Alex jones type podcaster that gets super powers and starts investigating the government trying to find proof for all his conspiracies but actually falls into actual DC Comics shenanigans.

In Japan, I fell in love with the comics of Shigeru Mizuki. I learned he started his comics career at 40. I realized it was not too late for me to follow my dreams.

I went to the @dandq.bsky.social website and hit the Contact Us link.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

This just in: Frank Quitely drew Batman and Deadpool in the Two Cowboys Jim French/Vivienne Westwood pose. This is very critical information for a very small amount of people, but in case you, like me, are one of them

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

Just saw Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind for the first time and it’s just the second half of Mickey 17? Who let Bong Joon Ho get away with that? 😭

Why is Superman The Kryptonite Spectrum a DC Black Label book? Nothing particularly mature or complex about it. I actually think all three issues out so far would make decent episodes of the 90s animated series.

Marvel’s White Tiger, frog sorcery, Indigenous tales and more are in “¡Wepa!,” coming to New York Public Library, spotlighting work by or about the island.

How is no one on this app talking about the new issue of Orphan and the Five Beasts? Some of the most kinetic art I’ve seen in American comics. Gonna grab a copy of volume one ASAP. Hadn’t heard of it and need more!

It feels like the Times shifted hard into “actually we will determine reality” mode after 10/7 and never came back. Luigi shit, mayor’s race, now this. Reporting from a world that doesn’t exist, for no one.
Top *eight* articles on NYT devoted to Charlie Kirk, top one asks if he will be remembered like MLK. This is a man who only a tiny percent of Americans had even heard of before his death, whose views are too nasty for NYT to detail. But they are trying so hard to turn into martyr.

DC Comics has reprinted not one but two collections of Warren Ellis written Authority comics this year. For those who forget, Ellis sexually harassed/groomed/abused so many people the site about his actions is literally called SO MANY OF US.

But tell me more about DCs moral fiber.
