What a pity that Rudd and Gillard failed to take Ken Henry's advice - including on tax reform - 15 years ago.

Now Chalmers & Albanese have the chance to redeem Labor as the party of reform, and the national interest. #auspol

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

Blatant and arrogantly lying.
Scott Bessent, Treasury Secretary said Russia was not hit with tariffs because they do not trade with America.

Buullsheet, US goods trade with Russia in 2024 was estimated at $3.5b.

Syria exported only $11.3m in 2023 & was hit with a whopping 41% today.
Fucking liars, Russian assets.

The Heard and McDonald Islands – covered in glaciers and home to penguins, not humans – are among the most remote places on earth. They are completely uninhabited, with the last visit from people believed to be nearly 10 years ago. Trump has hit the islands with a 10% tariff on goods.

We need to dispel some rumors. There is ZERO fentanyl trafficking on both of our HIMI islands. In fact, while our Gentoo penguins can travel hundreds of miles to bring partners their favorite pebble, they are incapable and unwilling of carrying even an ounce of illicit drugs.

Dutton is blaming Albanese 4 not knowing what tariffs Trump would impose on Australia before it was released 2 the media.

No country in the world knew what Trump was going 2 do before it was released 2 the media.

What a cheap shot by Dutton

Trump went out of his way to impose a 29% tariff on the tiny Australian territory of Norfolk Island, no one knows why; but left Russia off his tariff list. Still cuddling up to Putin. This is not the behaviour of a reliable, or even rational, ally. #auspol
Trump's tariffs list is missing one big country: Russia
The White House told Axios the reason is linked to existing sanctions.

If I assaulted an aged care resident I’d expect to go to prison.

If I had training and authority and the option of calling in assistance, then still assaulted an aged care resident, I’d expect an even longer sentence.

Wouldn’t you?

This will have devastating consequences

Just adds insult to injury it's to protect an industry that is so, so cooked.
