I know it’s stupid to complain about spelling differences between American English and Australian/British English, but from a purely decorum point of view, American English looks baby mode.
Rationalize? Okay little buddy I know you like Zs cus they’re edgy but use an S like an adult.

Sorry to MTG post but I just put into words why I left the hobby.
Universes beyond isn’t just “not MTGs soul” it’s literally THE OPPOSITE of what MTG was good at.
The primary reaction they want from IP in Magic is “Oh I know what that’s a reference to.” It’s a world we *already know*

Met the CEO of Hipster Whale.
She said “I’m the CEO of hipster whale” while I was taking a sip of my gin and tonic.
I said “Oh my god!” With such surprise that I spat an ice cube onto the ground

Crazy that this is followed immediately by Chapter 24 which can only be described as inferiority complex whaling based lib posting. This book owns dude.
Chapter 23 ‘The Lee Shore’ of Moby Dick might just be one of the best chapters of writing I’ve ever read.

Thinking about how often I was taught to mourn how the convicts who were sent to Australia were often kids and/or committed a crime as simple as stealing a loaf of bread
Meanwhile crimes like that are STILL punished extremely harshly if ur First Nations, black etc, but that never came up as much 🤔

I’m only 7 hours into Silksong, but even if the rest of the game is dogwater it’s still one of the most beautifully crafted games I’ve ever played.

My boomer take in gaming is that I think you're a psycho if you use the analogue stick to navigate menus or control a character in a 2d platformer. That is the D-pad's job.
If you MAKE a 2D platformer that can ONLY be controlled with the analogue stick? Hooo boy. Death sentence

Unfortunately this is correct.
Eventually you have to accept that no matter how many different notebooks you buy, they won’t make you a better writer. For that, you need to spend a lot of money on the right pen.

I only played Silksong for two hours last night, but so far? Perfect video frictions.
This game is why I wrote my final Uni essay on Ludic Prose. The “texture” of this game on a moment to moment basis is JUST like when a book has stunning prose that flows naturally.
