We care how Liverpool do. Deeply. So do they. More than us, even if today didn't feel like it. But the spectre of grief casts a shadow. Come 6pm on Sunday 24th May, hopefully closure will have been attained. One full season.

This is true. I listened to it for the first time on Wednesday on my way into work, & it’s jaw droppingly good. Best listened to through headphones, as the mixing on it is out of this world. It’s a proper aural experience.

Just seen that Paddy Byrne has sadly died. That’ll mean nothing to those of you not from Liverpool, but he’s pretty much responsible for laying the foundations for the food culture in this city - the Everyman Bistro & the Pen Factory to name but 2. People here have got a lot to thank him for.

I saw No Doubt at Glastonbury. They were bloody great, but the overriding memory I have of their set is of Gwen Stefani climbing up to the top of the stack of amps on stage & not being able to get back down without help.
