So, as you might know, I have been in the process of tracking the activities of DOGE staff across the federal government. And now I've built an auto-updating website to browse the data

It's not done (lots more content to write), but news is moving fast, so here it is dogetrack.info

Enjoy!
DOGE Track: Tracking The Damage
A website tracking the various activities of the DOGE wrecking crew across government. Sunlight is the best disinfectant!

I’ve been hearing Adam talk through this piece in stages for a year but didn’t understand it because I don’t understand gaming or the history of D&D. The last time we had dinner he went through the whole thing and it blew my mind
The far right is obsessed with Lord of the Rings and Musk keeps posting about "hobbits" because modern scientific racism owes more to fantasy worlds and gaming systems than genetic science, and they see both as effective mediums for right-wing propaganda www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

I like that he looks like he’s wearing a big rollneck sweater
The Orange Fruit Dove decorates the treetops with its flame-like plumage. This species lives in forests on the islands of Fiji, where it munches on fruits and berries. Only males display bold orange plumage; females are green.

I know there is an Age of Innocence movie already, but who have you mentally cast in various roles? My brain visualized Ellen Orlenska as Krysten Ritter and Julius Beaufort as Matthew McFayden (maybe because he is in that new 1880s miniseries). Not sure yet about Newland Archer 🏹

One of my favorite thing to tell normal people is "Sam Altman also runs a failing business were he scans the eyeballs of people in poorer countries with a device called "the Orb" and puts the data on the blockchain" and watch their heads spin www.businessinsider.com/sam-altman-o...
Sam Altman's eye-scanning Orb startup wants to hit a billion users. It's less than 2% of the way there.
Sam Altman's startup, Tools for Humanity, wants its Orb to scan a billion irises to create a "World ID." Regulators worldwide are sounding the alarm.

You can’t just bring back Emperor Palpatine. The audience saw him die when he was thrown down a ventilation shaft in the Death Star, which later exploded… wait a second, unlike the whole James Bond thing, I actually agree with this one.

you can't just bring back austin powers. the franchise wrote itself into a corner after he volunteered to stay behind forever in the shagadelic dimension to save foxxy and vanessa. they already brought him back once without explaining how he escaped from fembot island, the audience won't buy it

I do think this is a point of radicalization because a lot of angry, angry normal people were ready to dig in and suffer a lot in order to make fascists suffer a little, and their resolution was sold out and made into a mockery

There is going to be a Trump gap of missing data in so many charts of this era. I only hope it’s temporary
i’m not sure the US can still produce national vital statistics (live births, deaths, etc). this is a shocking thing to say for a high income nation. very short thread.

It's very simple. The next film should be about four Bonds: a cyborg one, a bloke in a suit of armour with a big hammer, a teenage one who's cloned from the DNA of Bond and Blofeld, and a fascist one that's secretly an artifact from Bond's homeworld.
Then the real one should come back with a mullet.
