Our message to Andrew Cuomo was loud & clear in June.

It’s louder & clearer tonight.

I’m in ulm Germany which, no suprise, has a pedestrian mall surrounding the enormous church and the shopping district. And look, business owners, early morning truck deliveries, it’s not rocket science. Can you imagine if we had this in SoHo, the rest of Times Square, or 8th Ave in sunset park?

Rich people live in NY for access to art and culture, concerts, restaurants, galleries, boutiques, art studios, and tiny music venues. All powered by an enormous ecosystem full of the people, living on economic margins, that they and Cuomo don’t want to help.
The New York Post made this image about rich people fleeing Mamdani and, as someone familiar with both cities, I will say: haha ok

If you agree every neighborhood needs to do its part in solving our citywide housing crisis, vote YES on Props 2-5.

““Tom, tell that gringo he’s a moron,” an exasperated Gilberto said at one point in Portuguese to Jobim, who then translated for Getz: “Stan, Joao said to tell you that he’s always dreamed of making a record with you.” Despite the growing acrimony in the studio, the results were impeccable.”
Stan Getz / João Gilberto: Getz/Gilberto

"Why is there so much development in Flatbush?"

Thinking about how all the kids these days are "transcribing", playing along with solos for content, usually catching the pitches but ignoring the rhythmic nuance, while D'Angelo was the king of the untranscribable, those wondrous rhythms that defy notation.
