The world’s leading anthropological authority on NASCAR (by default). I once broke traction in a Citroën Ami and I’ve been chasing that high ever since.

I also lost on Jeopardy!

Many thanks to some really lovely people for my triumphant return to the pages of the Internet:

You don’t need to be a car enthusiast to see from a single glance that a car with patina has something you can't fake: history. A story.

Just like to point out that in my three seasons of NASCAR 25, my crew chiefs have been two Jacks and a John.

Things must get pretty confusing around the fictional shop

I THINK that Ford should call its police package "Crown Victoria." Gimme an "Explorer Crown Victoria." Nothing means anything any more but I still want to call cop cars Crown Vics.

Every so often I think about my most memorable Uber experience: when the driver went on a long rant about “political correctness” that ended with him saying, “they couldn’t remake Dukes of Hazzard today, they’d have to make one of them GAY”

I’m wearing a sweatshirt with a Saab on it. If I take it off, it reveals I’m wearing a t-shirt with a Skoda on it.

Love this for me

Actually, you know what? Let’s stop complaining for a second. QT this with a GOOD airport. Defend that title as much or as little as you like. But let’s hear about airports that don’t suck.

There is one ridge along the bottom that feels clicky as it attaches - but the two tabs on the sides don’t look like they’re fully accepted.

(There’s a metal wire that clips the little channel where the tabs have gotten stuck-does that mean they aren’t supposed to go all the way?)
Seriously—please help me, magic car people in my phone. Does the second image look like that connector in the fully secure position?
