Back in grad school I spent the entire day working on something for a mentor. I proudly told him.
He then scolded me for wasting my day on something he could have showed me how to do in 30 minutes.
Looking back, this was one of the most important lessons I received (unpleasant though it was).

Filling classrooms with computers didn't have the huge and positive impact on learning that was promised. Filling them with tablets hasn't done it either.
