After absorbing the shock of Rob Reiner’s death, my thoughts turned to Albert Brooks, his lifelong friend. The last Reiner film I saw was “Albert Brooks: Defending My Life,” the documentary in which their sweet, funny friendship was on display. I’ll watch it again tonight in memory & w appreciation

One of the only things I missed when I left that hellscape of a site once known as Twitter…was seeing Rob Reiners tweets. Beyond his art, his activism, compassion and humanity were inspiring and admirable. The loss of him and his wife cuts really deep and is a tough one to process. Rest in power.
