I’m going to deal with this all by buying another chainsaw and getting rid of the largest dying tree in my yard. But if the extension office confirms what this is on the bark of the crepe myrtle, it’s next.

I ran 3/4 of a marathon in my dream last night and I’m pretty sure dream marathons are the way to go. Kind of sad I didn’t get to finish the race before waking up, though.

I’ve offered my kids a commemorative pin for any hikes they go on with me and I’m sad to report that it appears to have demotivated at least one of them. The other seems more interested in the hike than the pins?!? Love my kids and will never understand them but that’s part of the fun.
