Trans-masc enby, here to hang out! Mostly talk about silly things with (queer) books, mental health, and others. Late 20s, They/he

I try to keep my content light, to be a reprieve, but politics does happen.

On Blue and Pink Sky!
I need everyone to see this cute lizard I saw.

Thank you for seeing it. Have a good day.

Look, I know it is very Tradgedeigh to add x's and y's into names, but you know what ALSO is that?

Nonbinary.

It feels very nonbinary to throw random x's and y's into names that don't originally have it. Just saying.

The more I come to terms with my own autism, the more I realize I function better with organization and planning than I did without it. When planning meals for the next 2-3 weeks out, who am I hanging out with on what day, to even my trusty todo list, I realize I handle things so much better with it

I really want to try to be light, but I also want to let everyone know what is going on in case they didn't know. I know we all carry it in different ways. If anything, I will try to balance out what I can

Last night, we were one of the first outlets to report the ADULT ban on gender affirming care for Medicaid recipients who depend on it to access it.

This morning, that bill passed 215-214-1.

It now goes to the senate.

It's a bleak day for transgender Americans.
1. Terrifying news for transgender people across the United States. In a late night development, the House Spending Bill was amended to ban transgender coverage for transgender ADULTS on medicaid!

A manager's amendment removed the words "for minors."

The provision was stricken late at night to appeal to hardline conservatives.

Finished "The Emporer and the Endless Palace" by Justinian Huang. It is a time travel romance fantasy across Chinese legend and folklore. While I do like it, I feel like there were aspects of the book that could be improved on.

After leading a letter to Secretary Hegseth seeking answers behind the removal of nearly 400 books from the U.S. Naval Academy, we’ve now learned that the books are being returned to their shelves! While this outcome is a positive step in the right direction, it should never have been necessary.
Most books pulled from Naval Academy library are back on the shelves in latest DEI turn
All but a few of the nearly 400 books that the U.S. Naval Academy removed from its library because they dealt with anti-racism and gender issues are back on the shelves. That is the result of a review...

Semi-regular reminder that alt text is not a crutch for inaccessible designs. Not all of your visually impaired audience use screen readers. Designs should be high contrast so text is legible and it should be summarized in the post.

Also for the love of all things don’t use emojis as bullet points!

It really should have been a sign when I was younger where instead of having crushes on members of N'SYNC and Backstreet Boys, I instead wanted to be in the band and perform with them as a kid. Sign one of 100k signs where I should have realized I wasn't as cis as I thought I was.

My cat is very nosey and always wants to smell what I am drinking. Today, she wanted to smell my Celsius energy drink, so I let her. I swear the face she gave was the cat equivalent of someone smelling antifreeze for the first time.

I know there is a lot of news going on, and with the video of Trump admitting the 2024 election was rigged going around, many may not know what to do. Here is the link to the congress impeachment bill: www.congress.gov/bill/119th-c... .

For all those going to the marches and protests today, be safe! Remember to drink lots of water! And for those doing the sit-ins from yesterday, keep going strong!

I am hosting a tea party to help friends and I destress, and I forgot how much effort it takes to plan a big party. Handmaking invites, decorations, placemats, table runners, planning food and placements, party props, and everything. I am hoping it all pays off!

Looks like I got to see some cherry blossoms this year after all! I know it is hard during these stressful times, but I hope everyone enjoys this Spring day, and if you celebrate Easter, may you enjoy your Easter!

There is a squirrel near my home that keeps digging up my irises, and I am so close to throwing hands with the local neighborhood wildlife.

I just finished reading "Lavender House" by Lev AC Rosen. It's an LGBT+ murder mystery that takes place during the 1950s and reminds me of Agatha Christie style mysteries with Poirot. TWs advised, but I really liked the book even as someone who doesn't enjoy murder mysteries! #booksky #queerbooks 🌈📚

I am feeling a particular way at the moment, so have some more pictures I took of a crystal green lake in Syracuse, NY a year or so back.

I missed peak bloom this year for the cherry blossoms, but these are some pictures I like from a year or two ago.

I am just going to say it right now, if you are American and still caught up with internet discourse when US is rising in fascism and institutions have declared trans genocide in this nation, you need to touch grass. You are so chronically online you are incapable of ever being of help to anyone.

Silly little theory of the day: all neurodivergents are just cute little budgies stacked in a trenchcoat. Evidence? We all compulsively want to mimic the people we are close with and hold dear, even to the point of emulating tics and stims. Anyways, I will not be accepting criticisms of my theory.
