Overall, I still liked the book, I would give it a 3.5/5. Since this is a debut novel, I feel most folks learn a lot from their first novel. I look forward to Justinian Huang's work and where he goes from here.

I also feel like there were elements brought up in the story that were not later followed through. There were several times something was brought attention to only to be insignificant in importance in the end.

I felt like this book tried to blend different genres together without pulling it off. It tried to be fantasy with romance elements, while it also tried at times to be erotica. There is definitely a way to mix all these together, but I feel this book didn't succeed in that effort just quite.

I know asking for faith is a hard demand right now, so instead, I will ask for the more tangible request that is to pressure your representatives for the impeachment bill. Stay safe everyone and know I am fighting out here best I know how with you.
