honestly, since making this one observation everything is so much clearer. HE'S NEVER TALKING TO US, EVER. he's always talking to the billionaire class. go back over his wacky statements, everything he says makes total sense when you remember who he's talking to.
‘We’re the hottest country anywhere in the world’

Only if the scale is by declining democracy or rising fascism.

Eco Terrorist.

This man is quite literally, deliberately threatening the lives of billions of people in future generations. There should be a whole other level of criminal code for that.

This is all true. And the biggest danger Vance poses is that he is a walking skinsuit for the tech bros. Peter Thiel created his career. Elon Musk is one of his biggest boosters. If Vance is sitting in the Oval, the technofascists will wield an amount of power that will dwarf anything we've seen.
When Trump dies-- could be at any point, who knows -- we get Vance.

They'll blame a lot of stuff on Trump AND try to fast-track an even uglier Christofascism.

We must be preparing for this now & organizing accordingly.

Because they started a massive war at EU's gates and didn't even get a trade embargo in return.

Because russia staged terrorist attacks in EU and EU didn't do shit.

Because russia interfering with EU elections is a tradition at this point and EU doesn't do shit.

Because EU can't even fucking
“They can’t defeat Ukraine, why would they attack Europe?”

Great question, the answer is because they are evil fucks and they are counting on Europe, NATO, to do the usual blithering peace bullshit and try to reach an agreement quickly. The peace talks are seen as weakness and preferable to Europe.

Today's abysmal jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.

What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.

When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.

Remember this.

and he only attacks those who can't defend themselves.
Like any bully, Trump is fundamentally a coward. When he feels humiliated, he lashes out. Every authoritarian action he is taking must be understood against the backdrop of his declining popularity. He feigns strength, but he's operating from a place of weakness.

This gutting of peer review is very likely driven by Project 2025/OMB/Vought, very likely is about funding junk science, and very likely is coming for #NIH and biomedical research next.

To those thinking Russia is winning in Ukraine:

Imagine if when we invaded Iraq, we were almost four years into it, only occupied 20 percent, and lost a million men.

Not a soul would call that “winning.”

"Vouchers are covert segregation"? Don't be silly!

Vouchers are covert EUGENICS, or at least similar. Public schools have to take EVERYONE, which means IEPs, ramps, accommodations for the blind, etc.

Private schools don't. So if you want to remove the disabled from society, vouchers sound great.

this is, of course, exactly what republicans have always intended for vouchers to do: defund public education to facilitate the creation of a private system of segregation academies
Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it faced hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state programs and projects last year.

School Vouchers Were Supposed to Save Taxpayer Money. Instead They Blew a Massive Hole in Arizona’s Budget.
