Sometimes I think our humanity has died. Children should always be protected, I don’t care where they live and what their backgrounds are.

It’s hard not to be consumed with sadness.

My dearest devotees, it is with great sadness & angst that I proclaim there's no anticipated expiration of a much despised human piece of refuse in our upper eschelon. One day we will regale the stories to our younger kinfolk of the suffering during this dark age. With that I bid you adieu.

(1/4) I know the privacy conscious among us have been fearing the release of Windows Recall, the feature that takes screenshots of everything you do on Windows and analyzes them (on device, not remotely) with AI.

It's starting to roll out to Copilot+PCs in beta today. Here's what you need to know:

My Nintendo Switch-loving kids + their friends are now experts on tariffs.

I am not joking. They have so many questions. Telling them they can't pre-order something they have been obsessing over + saving all their money for is a teachable moment like no other.

Parents, do NOT sleep on this.

Mr Zelensky is without doubt one of bravest men of our time.

First invaded by the ruthless Putin, he leads a much smaller country to fight courageously.

Then he is attacked by the bully Trump who abandons Ukraine, and tries to extort billions from them with more threats.

And he resists still

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

About the video rollout:

We are making uploads available randomly to users in increments. With each group, we 👀 at the servers until we're sure they can handle it. Then we increase the increment.

We don't know how long this will take, but we will move as fast as we can!

something I have had hammered into me by working in software for the past fifteen years is that it's impossible to overstate how important a smooth and intuitive user experience is

most people want things to Just Work, the second you put any tech barrier up you lose 90% of users

The last major Mastodon update happened 11 months ago

I’m not criticizing Mastodon, I’m just pointing out that a donation-based model comes at a cost: limited resources, and thus limited evolution
