i’m hard pressed to think of a game that shoots itself in the foot as badly as donkey kong bonanza. the majority of the game is amazing: imaginative, great mechanics, exceptional animations, lots of novelty, excellent sense of progression. the final fourth or fifth is dull padding that kills the fun
