friday soapbox: as a designer, if you want something to be a skillful action for players, and you want growth in this skill to be very deep/meaningful, then you need to also let players be bad at it. sometimes horrendously bad. players hate this pain, and designers often want to mitigate it away.

#WIP Wednesday on my winged daemon prince of Slaanesh for my Emperor’s Children army. My green stuff work still needs improvement but I finally have him in a place that feels sufficiently Slaanesh-y to me. Grace, excess and swaggering arrogance.

It's fantastic to work with. The recording studio missions in Auntie's HQ - where the player gives feedback based on their RPG build or personal whimsy and it's interpreted into a unique ad or serial that plays on the radio for the rest of the game - were basically just fun experimentation with it

One trans woman has competed at the Olympic level, I believe, in the 2+ decades trans women could have. She didn’t win any medals. The association the media want you to make here is that trans women are dominating women’s sports while also continuing a toxic narrative about women’s appearances
Nothing illustrates the arseholery of the IOC and the British Press more than the use of the image of a not-Trans woman to illustrate a story about trans women being banned (because there are no current trans women competing at this level)
