He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

23. With the roots of a liberal media apparatus in place, campaign ads paid for by future Democratic nominees might have the desired effect.

Without it, though, they won’t.

22. But a quarter-billion dollars would be a good down payment on the creation of a media infrastructure that would:

*educate voters,
*speak to and learn from elected Dems,
*attack the GOP,
*provide professional networking,
*and bring co-partisans together though common goals.

We are asking Ukrainians to defeat the armies of Putin and Kim Jong Un. In their efforts to do so, Ukrainians helped bring down Assad. Ukrainian resistance is one of the most stunning military achievements in modern history.

Strike day 4: A big day, in which a lot happened, but this was the absolute highlight. If there is a conscience of the Guardian, it may be Gary Younge. He made this speech, off the bat & nailed it. We are the true spirit of the Guardian & Obs. And we are here fighting to save our news org.

A+ 🧵
If Democrats and liberals are constantly messaging it doesn’t allow right wing messages to dominate and in some cases it completely overwhelms them. People arguing that this is a hopeless case are giving a pass to Democrats and the wider left for not actually trying and that sucks.

Yesterday, a recount confirmed the defeat of the ballot measure that would have repealed ranked-choice voting and primaries in Alaska.

The recount increased the lead for opponents of repeal: the 'no' won by 743 votes (a margin of 0.24%).

Lots of this context on the measure in this great story:
Powered by Native Voters, Ranked-Choice Voting and Open Primaries Survive in Alaska
Alaska’s predominantly Native regions delivered huge margins against repealing the state’s new elections system, despite facing continued logistical challenges to voting.

a useful thing to ask is how specifically does a rule or regulation or order go from issuance to implementation. for instance, trump has said that he will issue an executive order denying birth certificates and SSNs to the children of undocumented immigrants. okay. what happens next?

This 💯!! Dems and all non-fascist Americans need read the room and seize the moment about the REAL populism that exists across America. The United Health Care CEO is a cub scout compared to how Elon, Trump and their billionaire buddies want to fuck everyone.

LOUD AND ONLY MESSAGE📢📢📢📢📢
The anger and frustration the American people have around the rich screw them over time and time again is spilling over and it’s only going to get worse.

Democrats should take note. Ditch the elites and rebuild with the majority of America on our side.
