Harvard just opened an investigation into Larry Summers's ties to Epstein.

That's just PR cover for Harvard.

They've known this entire time.

Epstein literally had an office at Harvard for years.

Just in case anyone is listening, please note that UK universities cannot operate successfully on the basis of continuous reduction of academic staff and academic staff pay. No amount of staff wellness sessions will change this.

Diversity doesn’t lower quality. Gatekeeping does.

When the same voices dominate academia, we don’t get excellence—we get elitism.

Cambridge don Nathan Cofnas cleared of racism

Dr Cofnas stated that in a meritocracy ‘number of black professors would approach 0 per cent’

Lawful ... but also lacking substantiation or evidence, revealing absence of any sound research methodology

How can some bus companies thrive while other are making cuts?

Bringing bus companies into public ownership would mean your ticket fare would go back into the service, instead of lining private pockets. People, over profit.

It works in Edinburgh, and it could work in Dundee.

Kirk’s ‘memorial’ getting a live coverage on The Guardian is a great example of how the right gets automatically framed as the default political movement to be ‘understood’ while the victims of that same movement never will never get the same amount of coverage

Speak up and you risk retaliation

University culture has decayed so far that retaliation is default

HR opens “investigations” with no evidence

Whistleblowers are sidelined, "troublemakers" victimised or dismissed

It's a system that punishes truth

Change is overdue -- & coming

We know academia runs on insular, tightly knit circles. That makes speaking out harder & retaliation more common. Survivors are silenced, pushed out, or followed from one institution to the next.

The University of Dundee has announced it will defer the 1.4% national pay rise for staff in higher education.

With inflation above 3% this means hard working staff at the University will be getting at least a 3% real terms pay cut this year.
