My wife and I went and saw “Come From Away” not too long ago. It legit made me cry. The selflessness Gander’s residents showed for Americans in the throes of 9/11 is so moving.
As a veteran who’s dedicated most of his adult life to this country I’m embarrassed by what we’ve become.

Flight crews quickly filled Gander’s hotels so passengers were taken to schools, fire stations, church halls. The Canadian military flew in 5000 cots. Stores donated blankets, coffee machines, barbecue grills. Unable to retrieve their luggage, passengers became dependent on the kindness of strangers

The crazy part of all the Trump stuff in that the majority of his actions/ wants will overwhelmingly hurt his base. FEMA goes more to red states. NOAA benefits the hurricane affected areas a lot (red states). DOEd money goes mostly to red states. Immigration reform will hurt const & farms in red

Everyone focused on Hegseth’s alcoholism as if that’s the worst part. The worse fact is he’s completely inexperienced for a role of this scale and that will be the bigger detriment to the DoD

The way I have excelled in my career is bc I have the ability to “shoot straight” and tell leadership/ customers bluntly what they need to hear, not what they want.
That being said, I’m 99% positive if I was put in the same room as Trump, it would result in my firing.

I honestly believe the best way for the Dems to recover is to meet Americans where they are. And by that I mean speaking in a normal American way.

Should we continue to encourage kids to go to college ? Or push them to take up a trade ?
I believe in college. Learning how to learn, IMO, is a critical life skill. Being exposed to people of different backgrounds, makes yiu wiser
