Might I recommend DS9 and Voyager novels featuring Ro and Icheb as main characters? Icheb gets a boyfriend in one of them and Ro becomes chief of security of DS9 after Odo and eventually commander of the station after Kira retires to religious studies. Very good stuff I recommend

Picard (the series) did dirty to several fan favorite characters. Hugh, Ro and Icheb. We deserved so much more from them.
