no one will see this bc i'm posting it at 1am but, if you're not aware; using the "cc" ending instead of the "ck" ending in words originates from aave. saying "snacc" "attacc" "thicc" "bricc" those would all be using aave because you're using the specific linguistic style that originated from aave 🫶🏻
a two post thread from globbie explaining what aave is. the thread says: African American Vernacular English i'm terrible at explaining things so bear with me but basically this is a dialect of english that has developed over the ears in the black community. there's a lot of "slang" that actually was taken from this dialect. the community is trying to reclaim these words and asking white people especially to refrain from using them. examples of these words include "crash out" "thicc" and "wataa" (these are some you commonly see online) me and many others will block people over their refusal to stop using these words
