The Conservatives - who oversaw every single thing on this list - are trying to claim that only the Conservatives would "stop the madness" - that they created...?

So incredulity aside, what about the list itself?

Brexit shrank the economy by about £100 billion.

So every year, the government is forced to forego the tax revenue (£35-£40 billion) it would have collected from that £100 billion in economic output.

So after 10 years, the economy is still down £100 billion but the government is down £350 billion.

The UK will not escape its doom loop until politicians acknowledge two linked facts: Brexit is a perpetual drag on growth, output + tax revenues, and an ageing population requires immigration. So, until we rejoin the EU single market and labour markets operate freely again, stagnation will continue.

If the UK economy were larger, Labour would automatically be able to collect more tax without having to raise taxes.

If Labour were able to collect more tax, they could do more.

If they were able to do more, we'd all be better off.

Brexit shrank the economy. Let's undo Brexit.

It is now more than nine years since the UK electorate voted for Brexit but the issue - most justifiably given the damage it is causing to the economy and living standards - remains firmly in the headlines.

There are several million Brits living overseas in countries where they never bother to learn the local language. Seemingly Rupert Lowe has no problem with these.

We’d have 500,000 coming back from Spain, if Spain enacted such a law.
