Overdiagnosis/treatment is a huge problem. However, iagnosis is not the same as disease definition and confusing the two can sometimes constrain thought and limit approaches to Tx

I remember when Mark Ebell and collaborators started the POEM reviews. We were colleagues in MSU primary care back in the day.

Non-academic primary care docs should NOT bother with the primary literature other than as a hobby. Resources like POEM reviews and The Curbsiders are far better.
