Can anyone look at this graphic and say that we do not urgently need rewilding on a massive scale?

Denying refugees citizenship simply on the grounds that they arrived here “illegally” on small boats *when there are no legal routes* for most to use takes cynicism to new heights. If Govt thinks such performative cruelty will see off Reform, they’re wrong - it’s more likely to strengthen it

So grim to see Keir Starmer going even further to the right.

He seems totally incapable of talking about why immigration is a good thing.

Totally incapable of talking about our skills gap.

Totally incapable of humanity & compassion.

The government was right to welcome Ukrainian refugees fleeing war.

There is only one reason that people in Gaza, displaced by a genocide that our government abetted, are treated differently.

That reason is anti-Palestinian racism.

The South West is where we would naturally have rainforest. So it's rather like saying we won't count land use change when the Amazon gets cut down. We've cut down our rainforest a while ago, but it would equally regrow, given a chance, for carbon & biodiversity

Rather than tax the super rich, powerful people are scapegoating those who are struggling.

It's time to tackle inequality because we can't go on like this.

Sheep Eat Oystercatchers, Curlew & Lapwings!

Extraordinary new case study out in BTO's magazine showing that out of 20 predated nests observed by nest cameras, **30% of predation took place by sheep eating the eggs!**

And we still see sheep as benign...

Pet owners accidentally poisoning garden birds.
Our latest research finds pet flea treatments (fipronil and imidacloprid) in 100% of blue tit and great tit nests, with nestling mortality higher in the more contaminated nest. @SongBirdSBS @SussexUni @CannelleTassin

No war but class war
New figures from the ONS confirm that the wealthiest 1% of UK households own as much wealth as half the UK's population combined. UK wealth is considerably more unequal and income – and the gaps are growing. We need to tax wealth and invest in the rest of us.
