RIP to Malcolm Jamal-Warner, who reportedly has died after drowning in Costa Rica at the age of 54.

For many of us, he was the brother we never had on The Cosby Show. He later appeared on shows like The Resident.

He leaves behind a wife and daughter.

This one hurts.

"'What punishments of God are not gifts?' Colbert knocked his knuckles on the table. 'What punishments of God are not gifts?' he said again. His eyes were filled with tears." I know preaching when I hear it described! Preach, Stephen!
when i think of Colbert, i think of an interview he gave to GQ when he first took over The Late Show, and had this to say about losing his father and brothers in a plane crash. www.gq.com/story/stephe...

The overlap of Lent, Ramadan, & the Bahá’í Fast this yr is timely.

“Fasting is not just a personal or spiritual exercise – it is also a profoundly social one. Across traditions, fasting is tied to a deepened awareness of justice, a call to compassion and a recognition of human interconnectedness.”
Three religious traditions overlap this year, providing a rare opportunity for collective reflection | Kat Eghdamian
