Why do as, as an engineer, not own a brick and a piece of wood.

This is exactly how the government keeps us down

9/ The tariffs are DESIGNED to create economic hardship. Why? So that Trump has a straight face rationale for releasing them, business by business or industry by industry.

As he adjusts or grants relief, it’s a win-win: the economy improves and dissent disappears.

Kind of insane that the prices of various goods were determined by a basic Excel formula.
These people are such crybaby clowns and destructive morons.

Trump said he'll raise tariffs to 50% if Colombia doesn't back down in a week, so I read Petro as saying "well, guess they'll be 50% then"

So yeah, guess all Colombian coffee and 80% of all imported flowers are now going to be 50% more expensive now.

The trade wars are starting off swimmingly.
And the tariffs are 50% now

Get used to this playbook again, America

1) Trump says something outrageous/stupid/dangerous

2) Dems say, "Geez that thing Trump said was outrageous/stupid/dangerous"

3) Fox News hits Dems for "melting down" while minimizing the outrageous/stupid/dangerous thing Trump said

For Maths fans, 2025 is a square.
45² = 45 x 45 = 2025
Also,
9² x 5² = 2025
40² + 20² + 5² = 2025
My favourite?
1³+2³+3³+4³+5³+6³+7³+8³+9³ = 2025

I agree no one will know how to read or write in 20 years but unclear why millennials think that because of this they'll rule as philosopher kings. What about the trajectory of the world makes you think these skills will be valued. At best you'll have a Gen Alpha boss who keeps you as an amusing pet

this is straightforwardly an effort to try to re-segregate the officer corps
Trump and his Secretary of Defense nominee have proposed purging military officers they view as too "woke."
A Heritage funded group is proposing names: offers who served on a DEI panel, or written about race, or sought to recruit at a historically Black college.

Oh good, more moral hazards that create private profits and public losses, fueled by climate change. These "non-admitted" insurers will make a ton of money, pay it out to shareholders, go bankrupt after a major storm, and then the government will inevitably step in to cover homeowners.

the only reason that tech was ever remotely left-coded was that in the early 2010s they consciously aligned themselves with what appeared to be the dominant political party. that meant large donations to Dems and nominal gestures toward diversity. as soon as the winds shifted they swung right.
