Tendonitis eased off enough so I can go back to sewing, though I have to be careful to pace myself so it doesn't get worse again.

Working on the last center rosette for my La Passacaglia quilt.

The longest part of this process is getting past my executive dysfunction enough to plan the fabrics.

Update: It did taste good!

I still have the first cold I've had in almost five years. I blame losing my mask at play rehearsal when I was teaching everyone choreography. It was fine in the open air, but then I went inside and rode a crowded elevator. -_-'

So apparently the guy the professor brought in to teach acting for our Drama as Performance class literally wrote the book on method acting and Shakespeare... And then our Shakespeare team didn't do an acting demo. I hope he wasn't disappointed not to get to explain things with us!

This is probably my favorite thing in my course reading for this week.

I would like everyone to please behold this absolute masterpiece of nerd friendship in Franklin's autobiography.

Continuing my habit of making fun little cartoons of the familiars for our new players... Behold, the single most ridiculously impractical and unnecessary mini I have ever doodled! My friend Cat's character has a pet mouse, named Kitten.

Okay, have interpreted the instructions. Poe has declined a sling. I am Done for today.

Back when I had a group our maps used to consist of a wet erase play map and some cardboard stands I made myself. I have no objection to playing this way, there's a certain charm to it. But also, it'd be fun and cool to play with the fancy stuff, if I didn't have to buy and store it all?

I have found a temporary storage solution for my quilt so it doesn't wrinkle!

Apparently, since I mostly did the big assembly on that half while watching Critical Role during the Mollymauk Tealeaf episodes, and since the colors and vibe fit so well, it has been renamed in my head as the Molly side.

I have reached the stage in which I am now assembling all the larger segments of this quilt.

Two episodes sewing off and on to attach three double-circle segments is slow, but there's a lot of wrestling paper-backed pieces around corners involved in this part.

(Toldja Mollymauk would like this)

I have finally, many many years late, started watching Critical Role: The Mighty Nein.

Mostly, it makes me really miss playing D&D, but it is also excellent company while I'm hand sewing my quilt top project! I finished this big center rose to it.

(Mollymauk would love this whole project, I feel.)

It snowed today, and all day long I've been spotting people taking a moment to feel the joy of it. Campus was mobbed with people taking photos or playing with the snow. One person had climbed up on a wall to break an icicle off a tree. One was using a snowball mold!

I still feel just fine about my decision five years ago to stop purchasing fast fashion, for example. I enjoy learning to mend rather than just replacing everything. I enjoy my daily walking because I no longer own a car, and I love the freedom from the expenses of maintaining one.

Update: utilizing pure panicked emergency power, I made it to the hospital and was able to handle the translation for the five minutes the appointment took. But now I'm running on empty and can feel the PEM waiting to land on me like a fuckton of bricks. Doubt I'll make it out of bed for a few days.

I like this one... Though it was hard to choose, because I collect a specific type of signage (signs telling people not to do things they would obviously otherwise do because people are sometimes just predictably Like That, which I affectionately call Stupid Human Signs).

Brother in law and niece and I went to Changdeokgung today, and here my brother is modeling that the sky was so perfect today it doesn't even seem real.

Behold! We had to go up a flight of Death Stairs hidden in a tiny claustrophobic alley in the middle of a flea market to find it, but we found a shop full of robots, etc.

Jim felt like he was in a museum.
