there’s no way to square this *legally* because they *all* should get due process — the only way to square it is politically: the Court was under more public/media scrutiny in the El Salvador case
I am struggling to square today's order with the Supreme Court's ruling that migrants targeted for removal to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act must be afforded meaningful due process. Why shouldn't these migrants, who face banishment to countries they've never stepped foot in, get the same?

I wish more people, from politicians to journalists to citizens, would remember that Trump can *say* a lot of things but it doesn't mean anybody has to take it seriously. He's not a king, despite how he acts. He's a child writing letters to Santa.

We need actual allies to put themselves in front of the vulnerable and stand with us on the field instead of cheering from the sidelines. Most "allies" are really just spectators. We need folks willing to risk their own privileges to defend others.

The strong are always asking the weak to save them when it should be the other way around.
I find the replies to this, especially from non-women, that are like "just follow the women" or "women will save us!" to be missing the point by a mile. For one, the Trump admin has a number of women working for them. For another, you cannot wait for a demographic you are not in to save you.
Stand up to him, get rewarded. Try to placate, he'll just demand more. The way is clear

I worked in banking fraud for over 10 years. If you ever receive a call from your bank, they will never ask you to give or enter your password. Hang up, call the fraud hotline on your statement or the back of your check card. Then you know you are speaking with them. Skip the AP and call to verify.
