Sen. Whitehouse (@whitehouse.senate.gov) said at #ClimateWeekNYC Wednesday that all viable paths to climate safety require a CBAM and there’s a “non-trivial” chance of a bipartisan bill on the topic.

The California Air Resources Board's latest public workshop revealed the agency expects to propose long-awaited regulations for the state's climate-risk disclosure laws on Oct. 14 and the expected annual compliance fees for companies covered by the two rules.

The SEC greenlit the nation's first "green" exchange, Green Impact Exchange, expected to begin trading in 2026.

The approval could represent the agency's approach to new market offerings, rather than sustainability, as GIX is the second exchange approved this year.

US banks Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, & Wells Fargo asked the SEC for help dodging climate & social shareholder proposals at their upcoming annual meetings, but the agency so far has denied those requests.

Apple’s shareholders overwhelmingly rejected a proposal requesting the tech giant “cease DEI efforts” at the company’s annual meeting Tuesday.

More than 97% of voters opposed the request, as anti-ESG proposals have increased without an accompanying rise in support.

JPMorgan has joined the Net Zero Banking Alliance exodus, a spokesperson confirmed to ESG Dive. Five of the six largest U.S. banks have left the group in the last month.

JPMorgan will continue to engage with the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero, but only 3 U.S. banks remain in NZBA.
