Was out of work 17 years ago, watched a documentary about coffee farmers and trade unions and decided to start a coffee business. It was a big struggle for a long time. Really grateful we got mentioned yesterday in Irish Times 50 great brands. Never underestimate timing, dumb luck and persistence.

My twins have reached an age where I’m starting to slowly get back into the things I used to really enjoy before they were born. Reading was very much one of those things. This is excellent.

Went for a pre gig kebab to Chiya on Dame Street last night. They’ve elevated an already strong kebab scene in Dublin and have done it consistently. Best value meal in town at €9.90. One day I hope to be able to manage chips with it too. Baby steps.

Big thanks @foggynotions.bsky.social for bringing the legend that is Mr. Bill Callahan to NCH last night. He finished with ‘Rock Bottom Riser’. I wanted to call one of our coffees this but was convinced at time to throw it out to the public so we ended up calling it ‘If You Know You Know’.
