The fact that Republicans have outright said that they will impeach trump if he goes for Greenland is a sign of progress. It shows that Republicans and Trump aren't synonymous anymore, it shows that they're separating themselves from him and aligning more with the people

What the ice agent did was absolutely legal, he thought (wrongly,only known after the act) that the car was coming at him and he was going to die so he shot her.

HOWEVER, the fact itd escalated to that point and a woman needlessly died shows that ICE is harming/terrorizing the USA and is not needed

The government is saying that violence rules. That snatching foreign leaders and territories, and shooting US citizens in their cars at point blank range, is justified. That resistance is not only futile, it is dangerous. They can say these things. But they cannot force us to believe them.

People on both sides are using incidents like tonight as an opportunity to push their agenda and demonize the other side, moreso than addressing what went wrong, what this shows about our government as a whole, and how to stop something like this from occurring again.

The day people realize political parties are a needless distraction that gets in the way of actually helping our country is the day I can be at peace.
