Since I'm way ahead of the schedule (6 days), and I'm really enjoying TheGamedevTavern's tutorials, I'm going through the second one - arcade style soccer game. Having so much fun.

First pass of spritesheet for both basic aliens and the Rex has been completed. Some are very obviously temp, but for now they work.

The Tiny Kaiju beat'em'up is progressing! First combo and some proper hit reactions from the enemies added. Animation art is temporary, but it feels so much better than just having static poses.

Following the tutorial and adding my own characters and animations is so much fun!

Went for a summer walk in the park. Things went well.

As the game is being developed, our artist, @lukaszjunczyk.bsky.social, has started working on the trailer. Here it is in full glorious temp art! Animation of pressing the elevator button is truly a masterpiece. Henceforth I shall be pressing all buttons like that. #gamedev #indiedev
