Finally given up on the other place. Live and let live. Respectful. Older dad. Fearful of the future for my children. Really, really hates unfairness.

Farage has shown support for both Andrew Tate and Tommy Robinson. Police and courts have decided these people are criminals but where is the questioning of Farage by the mainstream media? A MP is supporting their misogynistic and racist views but no one is holding him to account. #Farage #Tate

I hate to say it, but he does have a flare for wrapping up an insult in a nickname. Exactly right Peter. Btw thank you for both the breadth and depth of your posts - speaking as a southerner who visits Yorkshire, your snapshot commentaries about northern folk and attitudes are v insightful
One talent that Donald Trump possesses is coming up with apposite nicknames.
He'll hate the TACO jibe.

It comes to something when the authorities effectively have to confirm that the perpetrator was a WASP as soon as possible before the racist mobs circle like packs of wolves
All the people complaining that the police have said the Liverpool driver was white British are the same people who made it necessary for the police to say he was white British.

I think the representatives of NC didn't sufficiently beg and offer the required fealty - if so, he would've approved FEMA relief and basked in the MAGA acclaim coming his way for his dictatorial largesse 🤮
The cruelty is the point.

What Brexiters never understood was that our EU membership fee wasn't just a payment. IT WAS AN INVESTMENT. By paying it, we were given the possibility to earn much, much more through trade and targeted funding. We were never going to be better off outside the club.

My daughter goes to an academy school (several schools in the group but not a mega-academy. But I hark back to a time when I was a kid and there was a local education authority - and if you didn't like how education was being delivered in the borough, then you could vote them out? Now, what to do?

The more I read about Keir Starmer's obstinacy about no to the possibility of no EU re-joining when the benefits are obvious, the acceptance of insulating the wealthy at the expense of the less well-off, and the ascendancy of Blue Labour... the more I think that he's been flipped

Petition: Commission a public inquiry into the impact of the UK exiting the European Union
Given that it has stated its aim of growing the UK economy, we think the Government needs to quantify the effects of exiting the European Union as soon as possible by setting up an inquiry.
